We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician / Installer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of installation, fault finding, maintenance, and customer service, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
About the Role
As an Irrigation Technician / Installer, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining irrigation and reticulation systems across a diverse range of projects. You will work both independently and as part of a team, providing professional service to our customers while ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair residential and commercial irrigation and reticulation systems.
Service, program, and troubleshoot irrigation controllers.
Replace sprinkler heads and undertake lateral and mainline repairs.
Work on both 2-wire and conventionally wired irrigation systems.
Install new irrigation and reticulation systems.
Read and interpret irrigation plans and designs.
Complete accurate material take-offs from plans and drawings.
Communicate professionally with customers on-site.
Complete detailed job reports, service records, and photographic documentation.
Maintain a high standard of workplace safety and housekeeping.
Represent Think Water Broome professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in irrigation installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Please do not apply if you do not have this experience.
Current residency in Broome or commitment to relocating to Broome.
Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and designs.
Experience completing material take-offs and estimating quantities from drawings.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Current manual driver's licence.
Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
White Card.
Highly Desirable
Irrigation, plumbing, landscaping, or related trade qualifications.
Machinery tickets (excavator, skid steer, etc.).
HR Driver's Licence.
